We changed the dampers last night to try a different setting but the dampers were obviously not so good when they went in. It’s a little disappointing because we wanted to try and catch Manfred this morning which I think we would have done but obviously it’s not to be.”

Third is much more important for me so I will not risk anything at all. My tyres are quite worn now but I tried to come through here and not do anything crazy. I just tried to drive fast; we had a clean run, a nice stage at the end it got more and more slippery and more muddy so was quite difficult be okay we managed. Tänak is on hard tyre I have two hard and two soft tyres, so its a little advantage and I tried to use it to come back to him.”

I’m driving like a girl, really sorry to the girls, but it’s really bad. The time is good although, I don’t know maybe I tried to drive in the line. Maybe the soft tyres are better but I don’t have any explanation for the time.”

(st. č. 3) “It is tricky in places because it is very very fast and its getting very twisty and a lot of rhythm changes and although the grip level was changing it was good grip in places and slippery in others, so tried to balance. But I have to say the Michelin hard tyres are working surprisingly well in these conditions. The road conditions are different, the road is so hard now that you actually get grip from underneath the gravel. For sure it is slippery in some places but it’s no drama you don’t need to be worried.”

Quite a challenge at this time of the morning, and on the third day to have some of these tougher stages on the rally, but its good, it’s enjoyable. Some of the corners are really slippery; some are nice and grippy so we drove a little bit conservative just trying to make sure we get to the end there. It was fun, we’re really enjoying it.”

In the previous stage the grip was absolutely great but on this stage there is absolutely no grip at all, it’s unbelievably slippery; I don’t know why. The surface looks like the same than in the last but completely different so very tricky stage. I hope my softer tyres are working better than hard Michelin tyres and we can do some good stage times.”

It was really narrow so I slowed down a lot. Today I’m not fighting for anything else but to finish this rally. So we'll just keep the concentration until the end of the day.”
